If you and your kids are interested in nature then why not spoil yourself with a fantastic day out at Thurstaston Common Nature Reserve on the Wirral. With two hundred and fifty acres of unspoilt natural beauty you can spend the day exploring the historic and beautiful site. Maintained jointly by the National Trust and Wirral local authority, the site offers a very wide range of wildlife habitats and is perfect for spotting birds such as the Moorhen, the Little Grebe, and the Mallard. As well as identifying plant species such as Goat Willow, Reedmace and Yellow Flag, the site also has areas of heathland which has many types of often rare plants and heathers.
